Patient Testimonials for Atresia Repair

What is the possibility of the canal closing up after atresia repair surgery?

In the majority of atresia repair surgeries, no narrowing (called "stenosing") occurs. Severe narrowing can lead to the need for revision surgery to re-open the canal. Stents can sometimes be used to attempt to prevent additional closure or reopen the canal without additional surgery.
